Mom and Dad's Meds · In daily family use
A medication system for families caring for an aging parent. We built it for ours, managing doses, timing, refills, and a fresh set of changes after every appointment. It is the reason this studio exists.
The problem
When we moved to care for my mother, a stroke survivor living with vascular dementia, her medications became their own full-time responsibility: doses, timing, refills, and a new set of changes after every appointment. The tools we tried were either clinical and cold or too flimsy to trust with something that mattered this much. So I built our own.
Every prescription in one place: name, dose, schedule, and the reason it was prescribed. The whole picture, not a pill bottle scattered across a counter.
A clear record of what was taken and when, so the next person on duty is never guessing and nothing gets doubled or missed.
Track what is running low and capture the fresh set of changes after every appointment, so the list always matches what the doctor actually ordered.
What's inside
Doses, timing, and the reason behind each prescription in one calm view, instead of memory and sticky notes.
Everyone helping sees the same truth, so a parent's care does not depend on one person remembering everything.
See what is running low ahead of time, so a missed refill never becomes a missed dose.
Capture the changes after each visit, so the plan you follow at home is the plan the doctor set.
Calm and clear, not clinical and cold. Serious enough to rely on with something this important.
Built first for our own parents and still in daily family use, refined against the realities of caregiving.
