About
SetuDev is a veteran-owned, family-driven software studio in North Carolina. The first app was not a business plan. It was a necessity.

Why we exist
Four years ago, my wife Jalayne and I left Cincinnati and moved to North Carolina to care for my mother, a stroke survivor living with vascular dementia, and to help my father.
Managing their medications became a daily, high-stakes job: doses, timing, refills, and a fresh set of changes after every appointment. The tools we tried were either clinical and cold or too flimsy to trust with something that mattered this much. So I built our own.
Mom and Dad's Meds is that system. It is still in daily family use, and it is the reason this studio exists. Every product since has started the same way: a real person, a real gap, and the belief that good software can carry them across it.

Before the studio
I did not arrive at software from a bootcamp. I spent nearly twenty years in surgical medical devices, most of it at AtriCure.
Rose to Manager of Professional Education at the leader in surgical treatment of atrial fibrillation.
Personally supported in the operating room: Maze and left atrial appendage procedures.
Surgeon and resident education running 500+ cadaver lab sessions a year.
Cadaver labs needed a simulated beating heart, and the original was a 90-pound unit shipped from site to site. I led the team that built a better one, while managing a $3.5M capital portfolio.
For Excellence in Clinical Education.
I continue in surgical robotics and medical devices today. That world set my bar for quality, and I hold software to the same standard.
Veteran-owned, US Army. Family-driven in the most literal sense: my family is why this work began.
