Frequently asked questions

Honest answers about SetuDev, the apps, and working together.

What is SetuDev?

SetuDev is a veteran-owned, family-driven software studio. I build practical apps that close real gaps in everyday life, and I take on custom work for people and small teams. The name comes from “setu,” the Sanskrit word for bridge, because every project is about getting someone from where they are to where they need to be.

Are your apps available to download yet?

Not all of them, and I will always tell you exactly where each one stands. Magnolia Village NC, a private neighborhood website, is live today. Mom and Dad's Meds is in daily use by my own family, with a caregiver release coming soon. Migraine Decoder is in active development. Mission Resume is nearly finished and launching soon. No app-store badges we have not earned.

Can I hire you to build something?

Yes. Alongside our own apps, I design and build custom software for people and small teams. If you have a problem worth bridging, the best first step is to tell me about it on the contact page.

Who actually does the work?

I do. SetuDev is small by design, so you work directly with me, David Sabine, the person writing the code and answering your messages. No account managers, no handoffs, no message vanishing into a queue.

What does it cost to work with SetuDev?

It depends on what you are building, so I do not post a one-size price. Reach out with a short description of your idea and I will give you an honest read on scope and cost before any commitment.

How long does a project take?

That depends on the size and complexity of what you need. After a first conversation I will give you a realistic timeline, not an optimistic one. I would rather set an honest expectation than miss a flashy one.

What kind of software do you build?

Practical, dependable tools for real people: mobile apps and web apps that solve a specific problem without the bloat. The three apps in the SetuDev family, a medication tracker, a migraine tracker, and a resume tool, are good examples of the bar I build to.

Why “We build the bridge”?

It started with my mother. She needed a simpler way to manage her medications, so I built one. That is the whole idea behind SetuDev: find the gap between a person and the help they need, and build the bridge across it.

How do I get in touch?

Use the contact form, and one person, me, reads every message, usually within a day or two. Whether it is one of our apps or work for your team, the door is open.
